Advice from a Caterpillar, Toronto

baby boy sitting natural photography

I first stumbled upon Advice from a Caterpillar while wistfully browsing baby clothes online. My littles are past the “itsy-bitsy” stage, but photographing babies through all stages of the first year fuels my curiosity about what is new, trendy, and available.

When I found the site, I was taken by the whimsical nature of not only the products but the shop itself. Their name, derived from a childhood favourite, Alice in Wonderland, gives Advice from a Caterpillar that extra edge of fantasy.

The pieces are special and unique; classic in their ability to be worn and enjoyed with a quality that promises to last. If you’re anything like me, Advice from a Caterpillar is where you will go for those extra special outfits and is a fantastic choice when shopping for your child’s outfit for your family photography session!

A beautiful palette of natural and calming tones.

With products for babies, children, adults, AND home, Advice from a Caterpillar is located in downtown Toronto. The eShop, though, allows shoppers (window and otherwise) to browse their dreamy product line at the click of a button.

On-trend in a beautiful palette of natural and calming tones, their selection of baby products is straight out of a Pinterest post. With numerous gender-neutral options, I love how these pieces can be kept and reused for your next baby or passed down heirloom style.

One of my favourite features about Advice from a Caterpillar is their hand-embroidered monogramming service. This adds a little “something extra” to an already unique and beautiful shopping experience.

A one-stop boutique like no other.

As per my home decor addiction, the “home” section could not be left unbrowsed. Who doesn’t love adding those unique little added touches to their cozy nest?! The Autumn Paris Plaid Loulou Throw Blanket especially caught my eye and was added to the cart without hesitation.

Their selection of children’s toys is thoughtfully curated, offering parents a myriad of creative and cognitive-based play options. My personal favourite item is the Vilac Musical Tin Tea Set. Functional and educational but still somehow delicate and magical in its presentation.

Their sale section also boasts some incredible finds and is definitely worth a browse to snag some stunning pieces for less.

Whether shopping for yourself, your children, or your home, Advice from a Caterpillar is a one-stop boutique like no other.

Though I cannot call myself “customer” yet, their eye for detail and pieces worth investing in make Advice from a Caterpillar one of my new favourite eShops to browse.
